THE 8TH NORDIC-AFRICAN BUSINESS SUMMIT IN OSLO, NORWAY.

The 2018 Nordic-African Business Summit organised by the Norwegian-African Business Association (NABA), attracted 23 African Embassies, over 30 African ambassadors accredited to Norway, 158 Companies and Government Institutions, 6 top government officials from across Africa including the President of Benin – H.E. Patrice Talon, and Dr Mo Ibrahim from the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.

“The Blue Opportunity” being the theme for this year’s conference focused on strengthening business corporations in areas such as Marine Resources, Agriculture, and Energy. The summit was aimed at strategically positioning Nordic companies to take part in Africa’s sustainable “Blue Opportunity”, especially in the Maritime and Energy sectors. It is said that about 90% of Africa’s imports and exports are conducted by sea, hence the need to harness the vast blue opportunities in the continent.

Ambassadors and experts were given the opportunities to engage investors and businessmen on a One-On-One session.

Several companies signed up to have a speed-meeting with H.E. Mrs. Amerley Ollennu Awua-Asamoa to discuss specific areas of interest in relation to their investment plans in Ghana. Madam Ambassador addressed their challenges and exchanged contacts for further follow-ups.
